I love this Sam.... sometimes its inefficient... sometimes you win.

Example - here in Florida Organic Papyas are 10$ each.

In the last year I have grown 278 Papyas all better than the half rotten ones in the fake organic shop.

Peppers - 3$ each. I grew 344...seeds from a pepper I bought in turkey.... I grow that super expensive Japanese's sweet potato ... 10$ a pound...

I grew 323 lbs and in a twist of irony... I got the originals from the above organic shops dumpster and planted them out :)

But also we both know its so much better :)

Love that! You're definitely winning. I prioritize growing things that cost a lot to buy, or that are impossible to get at a decent quality at the stores - like lettuces and berries. I do grow a lot of peppers, and I grow super hot peppers for my brother who loves them. I'm more of a jalapeños level pepper eater myself. Although the peppers i grow kick the hot pants off any jalapeño I've purchased. Given you can't even buy ghost or reaper etc fresh peppers here, growing them is the only choice. Sometimes I wish I lived somewhere I bit more tropical so I could grow things like papaya and mango but hey, I can grow plums and blackberries so I'm good!

Watch out your hot peppers don't cross with your bell peppers!!

That happened to me and it was crazy.

Had to pull them all and start again
